Brief Summary of Minutes

Accomplishments

<p>The 2020 RTWG meeting brought together 274 participants to the bi-yearly meeting in Orange Beach, Alabama to present<br />finding from rice research and education programs to report on cooperation among scientists from different universities,<br />agencies and countries. The meeting allowed for the exchange of research information between scientists in various<br />disciplines of rice research and it provided an excellent format for rice research education. There were one symposia, 132<br />oral presentations and 96 poster presentations across the six different panels. These presentations will help improve<br />productivity and economic viability of U.S. and world rice production. Information exchanged at the meeting will aid in the<br />improvement of environmental stewardship of U.S. and world rice production. One of the most valuable products of the<br />meeting will be more effort towards the development of grant funding opportunities of rice research scientists.<br />Impacts</p>
