Accomplishments:

 1) Outputs: Workshops, short courses

A total of 26 workshops and short courses were delivered by members of NCCC170 during this period. Audiences ranged from academic trainees (i.e. graduate students and post-docs) to peer statisticians and professionals in allied disciplines, including academic faculty and research scientists in government and industry. Delivery venues spanned domestic and international settings, ranging from Idaho, Utah, Mississippi, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska  in the US, to Ecuador, Italy, Japan, and Hungary abroad. Impacts

  1. Srengthening of the statistical capacity and research collaborations of its members through continuing education, cooperative research, and the exchange of expertise in modern statistical methodology. The committee has continued to share this expertise through workshops including workshops on systematic reviews/meta-analysis, digital tool applied to livestock prediction, Bayesian mixed models, and a multi trait Bayesian GWAS pipeline
  2. NCCC170 members have also collaborated on research projects and contributed statistical expertise to almost 500 peer-reviewed publications during the project. These collaborations and the workshops extend the impact of the committee well beyond its membership.
  3. NCCC-170 has successfully expanded its membership, particularly through recruitment from academic institutions, while continuing efforts to broaden geographic representation across the United States and strengthen participation from government and industry.
  4. Collectively, these activities have enhanced the quality, rigor, and reproducibility of research while fostering a national network of statistical expertise and collaboration in agriculture.
