Accomplishments

Committee members reported results of research they had conducted during the previous year at the annual meeting, and shared ideas for new projects in order to get input for new projects.

Impacts

  1. Results from research conducted by committee members was used to redesign proposed Census questionnaires for the U.S. 2010 Decennial Census and for the USDA Agricultural Resource Management Survey that is conducted annually by the the USDA National Agricultural Statistical Service.
  2. The American Statistical Association has also used web design principles developed through the work of committee members for four surveys it has conducted.
  3. Members of the committee have helped a number of other faculty in their institutions with survey design ideas presented at our annual meetings.
