Brief Summary of Minutes of Annual Meeting

NRSP1 met by teleconference with the members of the NIMSS redesign team. Chris Hamilton led the group through a walk-through of the new system which is complete, but undergoing testing before public release. Concerns were raised about the new format of the Appendix E forms, which allow RSAs to select the approval level of the form, rather than automatically approving at the SD level. Developers have since added a drop-down menu that defaults to submitted as the participant, but allows the option for other levels of approval, if needed. NERA members were concerned with the elimination of the Request to Write a Proposal stage, but this option is still available when a new proposal is created. Proposals submitted and awaiting RSA approval function at the same level as a submitted request to write. All current levels of proposal approval status will exist in the new NIMSS.
