New York (B. Nault) - Submitted a package to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for their consideration of a Specific Emergency Exemption (FIFRA Section 18) for the use of spirotetramat (Movento) on onion for onion thrips control for the 2011 season. The Crisis Exemption request was granted by NYSDEC from June- September 2011. Additionally, a second package was submitted to the NYDEC for their consideration of a Section 18 for the use of abamectin (Agri-Mek 0.15EC) on onion for onion thrips control for the 2011 season.
