Statement of Issues and Justification
Objectives

To conduct research with weaning and growing-finishing pigs using a standardized protocol to allow pooling of the data from participating stations. Thus, substantial numbers of animals will result in meaningful data from which valid conclusions can be drawn and nutritional recommendations can be made.

To cooperatively conduct sow nutrition research studies using a standardized protocol that will allow adequate numbers of animals to provide meaningful results from which valid conclusions can be drawn and nutritional recommendations can be made.

Discuss research in progress at participating stations. This will enhance collaboration among stations and prevent duplication of efforts.
