Brief Summary of Minutes
NCDC 20-9 is recommending to the North Central Directors that NCDC 209 terminate and the directors create an NC 500 series project entitled, "Sustainable Biorefining Systems for Corn in the North Central Region." The NC 500 project should begin immediately with a meeting in early 2007.Accomplishments
The participants discussed the bioeconomy, bioenergy and bioproducts, the relationship to S-1007, the dimensions of sustainability, and the recommendations tothe North Central Exoeriment Station Directors. The conclusions of the meeting are contained in the minutes attached to this report. The next action required is for the NC directors to create an NC 500 project and assign a multidisciplinary team to the project. The multidisciplinary team will then meet early in 2007 and formulate an approach for the project on the sustainability of biorefining systems for corn in the North Central Region.Publications
