Accomplishments

During the past year the committee worked with interested researchers to establish NC-1013. This project will study the psychological and economic aspects of household savings behaviors. <br /> <br><br /> <br>The group identified topics for exploration at their October mee ting, and choose the location of the Federal Reserve Board in Kansas City to learn about its purpose and activities, and how these might be useful to the committee and researchers involved. <br /> <br><br /> <br>Committee members also worked to update the website, but info r mation still needs to be provided for some sections.

  1. Provide continuing education on research methodology and data analysis techniques
  2. Create a technical committee to write a proposal for selected project.
  3. Investigate writing questions for inclusion in a national longitudinal data set.
  4. Develop research briefs from research conducted at participating universities.
  5. Establish an NCCC 52 Web site linked to NIMSS Web site.
  6. Conduct a legislative briefing to share policy implications of research results.
  7. Develop policy briefs for state and federal level policy makers.
  8. Share outreach/Extension applications through appropriate channels.
  9. Conduct a virtual symposium involving evaluators, administrators, and researchers that would determine reporting guidelines.
  10. Pilot reporting guidelines at participating universities in cooperation with CSREES.
