Brief Summary of Minutes
Brief Summary of Minutes:
The meeting was held virtually on October 24, 2025. The meeting started with each participant introducing themselves and their connection with SNAP nutrition incentive programs or research. The group then discussed ways in which a cross-institution and cross-project group might enhance research projects. Participants discussed the possibility of joint data collection and/or using common metrics across data collection exercises. The group discussed further need to learn what work other projects are conducting, in order to better understand cross-project collaboration opportunities. The group decided to hold quarterly meetings where a group of researchers would present recent work or work in progress. The group also discussed recent challenges to incentive program operation posed by the current policy environment.
At the end of the meeting, the group decided on a leadership structure. Joel Cuffey will serve as chair for the first year and will ask the project membership for a co-chair. Vikas Mishra volunteered to be the project secretary.
Accomplishments

Several project participants had collected data or continued pre-existing data collection plans during the report time period. Researchers at Auburn University fielded a survey of SNAP participants, and researchers at Texas A&M developed a study protocol. The project is new, so research projects are still being developed. More accomplishments on the project goals will be reported in future years.
Publications

This was the first meeting and most members had only been involved in the project for a month or two, so there were no publications yet to report.
Impact Statements
- This project is new and membership is building, so impact will be seen later as collaborations develop.
