Reasons to host the meeting in Hawaii: <br /> <br /> - I am an active member of NE1640 collaborating with 4 other nematologists in Hawaii (University of Hawaii at Manoa, University of Hawaii at Hilo, and USDA in Hilo). <br /> - I conduct nematode management as well as soil health management research, active field trials and collaboration with stakeholders here can support field trips that would be relevant for NE1640. <br /> -I work closely with NRCS soil scientists at the PIA (Pacific Island Area). They are very supportive of us hosting the meeting here.
