Dear NC1201 members,<br /> <br /> We have confirmation of our Symposium at the Midwest ASAS/ADSA meeting. The draft program for the meeting is available online (https://asas.org/docs/default-source/midwest/2018/mwdraftprogram3.pdf?sfvrsn=4ec345d1_2). There are a few errors that need to be fixed in the program for our Symposium, Richard Pursley is working on getting it fixed. The main changes are adding the title of the Symposium “NC1201: Methods to Increase Reproductive Efficiency in Cattle”, the inclusion of the guest speaker and the round table at the end of the symposium.<br /> <br /> Dr. Al Garverick is confirmed as our guest speaker. Dr. Garverick is one of the pioneers that started this Multistate project. We will need to cover the cost of his airfare (roughly $300), my suggestion is that we split the cost among all members of the group. Please, let us know if you are OK with this.<br /> <br /> Also, I was able to schedule a visit to the Omaha Zoo and tour of the research facilities with Dr. Jason Herrick (who specializes in reproduction).<br /> <br /> Here is the tentative Agenda for our meeting:<br /> <br /> 03/14/18<br /> 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM - NC1201 Symposium<br /> 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM – Lunch (on the way to the zoo)<br /> 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Omaha Zoo visit and tour with Dr. Herrick<br /> 6:00 PM – Dinner (location to be arranged, accepting suggestions)<br /> <br /> 03/15/18<br /> 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Additional station reports and Business meeting<br /> 12:00 - adjourn<br /> <br /> Please let me know of any comments and concerns about the Symposium and Agenda.
