Additional Info
Hello fellow NC1184ers!

On behalf of the Kansas Experiment Station, I am happy to host everyone for the this year’s meeting. The meeting will be held October 14th and 15th at the Stanley Stout Center located near the K-State campus. I will send more information as the meeting gets closer, but here are the important items you need to know now:

Flights: There are two options for flying to Kansas. You can either fly into Manhattan, KS (MHK) or Kansas City, MO (MCI). The only airline the flies into MHK is American and if you do fly into Manhattan we can arrange to pick you up. If you fly into MCI, it is a 1:45-2 hour drive through the Flint Hills to Manhattan (actually a pretty drive). Most of the time MHK is cheaper or equal to MCI when you consider having to rent the car. If you book early, flights are usually reasonable.

Lodging: I have reserved 25 rooms at the Bluemont Hotel (www.bluemonthotel.com or 785-473-7091) for a discounted rate of $100/night for the 13th and 14th of October. Please tell them you are with the KSU Department of Animal Sciences and Industry NC1184 Meeting to receive the discounted rate. This hotel is very new and right across from Aggieville for the night owls.

Meeting Location: We will have the meeting at the Stanley Stout Center located off of Kimball and Dennison Ave. Parking there is free if you want to dive your car, but we will have a van to transport people if needed. Directions from the hotel to the Stout Center are available at: https://goo.gl/maps/bdYkWjda6Wp

I look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of months!

Thank you,
