Accomplishments
Impacts
- NCR-199 members provide service to numerous beef cattle producers through national sire summaries, research, and consultation for beef cattle breed association membership.
- Educational programs, such as the Brown Bagger Series impact beef production efficiency through rapid transfer of knowledge from research into production.
- The research and implementation of Economically Relevant Traits provides cattle producers with selection tools with a direct impact on profitability.
- NCR-199 members developed and released a new expected progeny difference (EPD) for tenderness and enhanced current statistical methodology for national evaluation of beef cattle.
