Accomplishments
Members held a on-day Leadership Development in Agricultural and Applied Economics workshop the day before our meeting. Sarah Low organized and several members participated as mentors. We had 54 participants registered, which suggests good demand for leadership training for ag economists. We will hold-off on a DC trip until next year, when things at USDA stabilize - USDA may not even be in DC next year, we may want to visit Kansas City. We are working on increasing mentoring, networking and industry job opportunities for our PhD students.
