We are still in the process of gathering support among the forestry community for our regional efforts. The meeting was an open invitation at the Southeast Society of American Foresters meeting to participate in the regional southeast silvicultural library. Vogel and Carney discussed the library and took questions from the crowd.
Accomplishments
Short-term Outcomes: The Southeast Silviculture Library has been created (https://productionsofdust.com/sesl/wordpress/). This will allow managers and researchers to share scientific information.
Outputs: None to report.
Activities: Annual regional meeting was used to advertise library.
Milestones: Library was constructed. Paper on long-term research was submitted in February.
Impacts
- Society has invested tremendous resources into forest management studies meant to improve forest health and productivity. Our primary activity for the last year has been to create a venue where this effort can be documented and viewed by the public.
