Accomplishments
The purpose of this meeting was to establish the initial working structure of this group and to develop a strategy to prepare a full multistate research (W) proposal. Attendees agreed to develop a proposal and duties were divided and assigned to all members in attendance. The group set deadlines for initial draft and assignment completions and will plan to meet remotely as needed to make satisfactory progress on the proposal. The proposal will be submitted to the Western directors no later than December 2020. The group agreed to compile existing data sets to develop a regional publication investigating impacts of annual grasses on species diversity. The group also agreed to identify and reach out to additional members in 2020 to enhance diversity in subject matter expertise.
