Accomplishments

The primary function of the SERA-35 group is to host an annual meeting which facilitates formal and informal information exchange among participants regarding research and extension activities conducted within the region. Formal presentations in the morning session followed by informal discussions in the afternoon session covered a wide variety of topics and provided useful information to the participants.

Impacts

  1. Presentations at the 2015 meeting reported on the progress of a wide range of research and extension activities addressing current relevant issues. These activities included: a survey of feral hog damage in Louisiana, economics of grass-fed beef production systems in the Southeast, use of crop insurance in Arkansas, and the use of the MarketReady Program.
