It was determined that the name of the committee should be changed to Urban and Community IPM. Additionally, objectives of the committee were reviewed and modified to read as follows.
Objective 1. Expand the committee. Fosters coordination and collaboration of
research and extension programs.
Objective 2. Report on identified needs and opportunities. Identify, discuss,
prioritize and report community needs.
Objective 3. Facilitate the adoption of IPM practices. Technology transfer,
dissemination of assessment tools, standards, and methods of urban IPM practices.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was determined that critical mass had not been established to support submission of a full proposal to RCIC. WDC13 will disband and not seek continuation as a developmental committee. The team, however, indicated support for continuation of dialog and collaboration as appropriate.
