The Annual Meeting of the Hatch Multistate Committee Precision Management of Animals for Improved Care, Health, and Welfare of Livestock and Poultry (NC1211) will be held on September 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Universitat Politècnica de València (Camino de Vera s/n, 46022).<br /> <br /> The specific meeting room has not yet been assigned and will be shared once confirmed.<br /> <br /> A preliminary agenda is attached for your review.<br /> <br /> Please contact Hector Santiago or Tami Brown-Brandl if you have any questions or would like to suggest additional agenda items.<br /> <br /> FYI for AES Offices: The NC1211 annual meeting is typically held the day before either the United States or European Union Precision Livestock Conference. This scheduling allows members to participate in both events, as they are the primary venues where faculty in this discipline present their work. Recent meetings have followed this pattern of alternating locations: 2024 in Bologna, Italy; 2025 in Lincoln, Nebraska; and 2026 in Valencia, Spain. Since its inception, the meeting has alternated between Europe and the United States.<br /> <br /> Per the NIFA policy guide, the use of Hatch Multistate funds to cover travel to Hatch Multistate meetings is allowable so long as it is in support of program objectives and in accordance with the Institution's policies and procedures. Foreign travel does require prior approval, but for Hatch Act Research Programs this is delegated to the Experiment Station Directors.
