Join us in Chapel Hill, NC on July 27-28, 2026 for the annual meeting of the Rural Population Research Network. Our meeting will be held just prior to the Rural Sociological Society meetings in Raleigh, NC.<br />
<br />
DATES AND LOCATION<br />
• July 27-28, 2026 in Chapel Hill, NC<br />
• Meeting held at Carolina Population Center at UNC<br />
<br />
SCHEDULE<br />
• Starts at 4:00pm on Monday and ends at 5:00pm on Tuesday.<br />
• Optional field trip through RSS on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 --- see below.<br />
• Registration, fees, and agenda is forthcoming.<br />

LODGING<br />
• AC Hotel Chapel Hill Downtown at $179/night group rate. Rate valid until 6/19/2026.<br />

TRANSPORT<br />
• You are responsible for ground transportation to Chapel Hill.<br />

OPTIONAL FIELD TRIP<br />
• Join us for a day exploring how environmental and social justice comes together at Common Ground Ecovillage (https://www.commonground.eco)! The community was started, in part, by Paul Voss a former RSS member and retired rural demographer, who will host the tour. Visit will last from 8:30am – 3:30pm, with lunch provided. Bus will pick-up and drop-off at AC Hotel. Possible transportation from hotel to RSS conference, if space is available.<br />
