This will be the first meeting of S1098. It will be held in conjunction with the Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture conference that is a product of S1090. This meeting will be held on the last day of the conference and last roughly 3 hours, after most (if not all) conference activities are wrapped up. The activities will include introductions, discussions about collaboration, election of officers, and planning for the annual report. There was some discussion about having S1098 and S1090 meet (partly jointly) at the conference, but S1090 has already chosen to hold its annual meeting at Michigan State University in August. It is possible that S1090 will also meet briefly at the conference, but since some members of S1090 are also members of S1098, it is likely that they will simply participate in the S1098 meeting.
