NE1941 will hold its annual meeting virtually (Zoom) on August 19th, 2023. Zoom information will be sent out during the week prior to the meeting. Please contact Mike Westendorf for further information.<br /> <br /> Program agenda:<br /> <br /> August 19th - AM<br /> 1. 8:30 - Welcome<br /> 2. 9:00 to 12:00 State Reports (no more than ½ hour per state allotted). Extra time can be used for future discussions.<br /> 3. 12:00 - 1:00 Break<br /> <br /> August 19th - PM<br /> 1. More State Reports<br /> 2. Final report submission<br /> 3. Future Discussions:<br /> a.) A project rewrite cannot be initiated in time for a 2024 approval. We will need to begin a new rewrite after this year's meeting for a 2025 or 2026 implementation .<br /> b.) My timeline for a leadership role in the group is past. I will be retired from Rutgers before a new project begins, but I am willing to provide some input to any writing . Future leadership can be determined at the meeting.<br /> c.) Planning ideas and potential working groups can be discussed.<br /> d.) Ideas for a rewrite include a focus on sustainability of small and mid-size equine farms, including all aspects of management, nutrition, health, management, etc. Broader than the previous project.
