Kick-off meeting for S1091 (Forest Health and Resilience) held in conjunction with the Society of American Foresters national convention (https://eforester.org/safconvention2023). Goals of the meeting are to determine project leadership roles and next steps for the project, including formalizing the ProForest group, facilitating further integration of the forest health programs at land grant Universities, and identifying funding and collaborative opportunities to support developing and delivering science-based solutions to land managers and regulators. <br /> <br /> As part of the meeting, we will be supporting an interactive discussion “Developing Research and Demonstration Networks to Address the Forest Management Issues of the 21st Century” from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM for any and all who might be interested. This falls under our first objective of our proposal.
