The 2018 Annual Meeting of the W-3008 multistate onion project will take place on November 13th in Kennewick, WA. The meeting immediately precedes the Pacific Northwest Vegetable Association (PNVA) Annual Convention & Trade Show (http://pnva.org/pnva-conference/) in Kennewick on Nov. 14th and 15th. The PNVA meeting had >800 registrants in 2017. That conference includes a full day of presentations about onions on Nov. 14th, so we hope that many of you will stay through the 14th to participate in this complementary event. <br /> <br /> Attached is a draft agenda for the meeting as well as details on hotel options, transport, and how to register for the W-3008 annual meeting. As part of the W-3008 annual meeting, we will be touring a nearby onion storage and packing facility, and visiting fall-planted, overwintered onion crops.<br /> <br /> Registration: To save expenses for our meeting, the PNVA has kindly let us utilize their registration website, where you have the option of registering for the W-3008 annual meeting only ($45 registration fee), the PNVA meeting only, or both. To register, please go to: http://pnva.org/pnva-conference/<br /> <br /> Lodging: You can make a hotel reservation at the same hotels for which the PNVA has block reservations, i.e., the Springhill Suites attached to the Three Rivers Convention Center and the Hilton Garden Inn located directly across the street. Springhill Suites # is 509-820-3026 $122.00. To get the block rate, please indicate that you are participating in the PNVA meeting (even if you do not register for the PNVA meeting). The room block expires on October 12, 2018. Hilton Garden Inn # is 509-735-4600 with a rate of $112.00. Again, indicate that you are participating in the PNVA meeting. That room block also expires on October 12th.
