The NE1731 (formerly NE1231) Annual Meeting (Eastern Regional Potato Breeding and Variety Trial Project) will be held January 4 (starting at 1PM), 2018 to January 5 (ending by noon), 2018 in the conference room in Building 010A at BARC, Beltsville, MD. Please stop by Building 003 to get a Visitor's Badge prior to coming to Building 010A.<br /> <br /> Rooms have been reserved at the Holiday Inn, 10000 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD (https://maps.google.com/?q=10000+Baltimore+Ave,+College+Park,+MD&entry=gmail&source=g) for the nights of January 4 and 5 at the rate of $109 + tax (6% MD State Tax + 7% Occupancy Tax). Breakfast in the restaurant each morning is included in the rate. Reservations may be made by calling 800-HOLIDAY and mention USDA - NE1231 to get our preferred rate. The deadline for hotel registration is December 5.<br /> <br /> As a reminder, there are two airports that service the area: Baltimore-Washington International and Reagan International. Transportation from BWI is by taxi (no reservation needed) or Super Shuttle (reservation in advance needed - check their website). Transportation from Reagan is by the Metro. Pick up the yellow line right inside the station, transfer to the green line, and get off in Greenbelt. Kathy Haynes from USDA-ARS can pick people up in Greenbelt right up until about 12:30 pm the day of the meeting if they call her cell: 443-745-4946.<br />
