Additional Info
Our 2017 meeting is scheduled for August 17 and 18 in Portland, OR.
LODGING: I’m finalizing contract details with the Shilo Inn Portland Airport (https://www.shiloinns.com/search_results.asp?PI=PASOR). Rate will be $119/night; that’s the best we could find (decent, with meeting area) near PDX or within Portland city limits. Airport shuttle and breakfast included. I will send more info on how to make reservations once contract between Shilo Inn and OSU is signed. The hotel anticipated that rooms will need to be reserved by July 16 for the $119/night to apply.

MEETING: Shilo Inn - Cascade Room.

OPTIONAL: Besides our traditional agenda items, there is an opportunity for us to visit the OHSU - Oregon National Primate Research Center, more specifically the Division of Reproductive & Developmental Sciences. Dr. Jon Hennebold (Chief of the Division, some of you may know him from SSR) graciously volunteered to give us a tour. See below his proposed outline:

- Jon Hennebold: Introduction and Overview of Reproductive Sciences at ONPRC, 10 -15 minutes.
- Shawn Chavez: Aneuploidy and pregnancy loss - comparison between bovine, equine, and primate, 20 min.
- Add another reproductive biology talk if we want - ovulation/luteal function, placental development/function, etc. 20 min.
- Diana Gordon: Tour of ONPRC , between 1 and 2 hours.

Their website is http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/research/centers-institutes/onprc/scientific-discovery/research-divisions/reproductive-sciences.cfm

If there is enough interest from our group, we could schedule the visit to Thursday afternoon (best time for the OHSU group host us), while having our traditional meeting items on Thursday and Friday mornings. Another option is Friday afternoon; those interested can stick around and those that are not can go back home. I’ve set up a doodle pool, PLEASE CAST A VOTE WITHIN THE NEXT 5 DAYS (http://doodle.com/poll/my6zggb5n29wt278) so I can get back to Dr. Hennebold in a timely manner.

If needed, I can ask Shilo Inn to extend our contract to include Friday night as well (for those that want to spend Friday night in the Rip/Rose City).
