On behalf of the 2017 Meeting Chairs, I would like to invite you all to the annual SCC-33 National Variety Testing Meeting! Here are some of the pertinent details.<br /> <br /> Dates: February 5-7, 2017<br /> -We will begin with a Super Bowl party on Feb. 5th. Presentations will begin the morning of Feb. 6th and conclude at lunch-time on Feb. 7th. <br /> <br /> Location: Catamaran Resort, San Diego, CA<br /> -The resort sits on Mission Bay, and is directly across the street from Mission Beach and the Pacific Ocean! Plenty of restaurants are located within walking distance. The resort will be a great venue for our meeting and the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for rest, relaxation, and fun! <br /> <br /> Registration Cost: $300 if registered by January 8th; $350 after January 8th. <br /> -(Registration includes three meals, refreshments, meeting space, supplies, and a Super Bowl party on Sunday, February 5th)<br /> <br /> Hotel Room Cost: $159 (+tax)/night.<br /> -Please make reservations early. The hotel will honor our group price three days pre-conference and three days post-conference. If you wait until the last minute to book a room, you are not guaranteed to receive the discounted group rate. If the hotel is nearing capacity, you will be charged the prevailing rate. Please reserve your rooms early!<br /> <br /> Program: We will have scheduled presentations/discussions on Feb. 6th and the morning of Feb. 7th. The meeting will be adjourned by 12:00 pm on Feb. 7th. If you have a presentation you’d like to give to the group, or want to suggest a speaker/topic, please let me know. I have several suggestions from the survey that was sent out earlier this spring, but feel free to make your suggestions again.<br /> <br /> How to Register: Check the SCC-33 website (http://smallgrains.wsu.edu/variety) for registration details and the link to make your hotel reservations.<br /> <br /> I’m looking forward to a fun and educational time in San Diego.
