This is an additional meeting of S1054 multistate group on March 10, 2016, to meet program leaders at USDA and NSF to get insight about current and future funding opportunities for the fibrous material as well as understanding the mechanism of developing multi-institutional proposals. We would also request and provide rationale during our meeting for drawing their attention to fibrous and biobased materials in future funding announcements since we have a strong representation in this area as a group.<br /> <br /> I would like to recognize Dr. Vivian Li (current secretary and from Colorado State University) for her exceptional work in organizing this meeting at DC.<br /> <br /> Below is the final schedule for our group’s DC visit on March 10th. Some of the hotels near NIFA waterfront center are: Residence Inn Washington, DC/Capitol, Channel Inn hotel, Capitol Skyline hotel, Capitol Hill hotel, Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Members are requested to arrange their stay.
