The WERA-72 Committee will host its annual meeting on June 5-7 in Fort Collins, CO. The Executive Officers
Reports on agribusiness extension activities
Reports on agribusiness teaching initiatives
Industry speakers
Co-sponsored sessions with other coordinating committees (e.g., NC-1016, S-1019)
Suggested topic areas for selected paper, research report and panel session proposals include:
Coming Trends, Past Successes, and Lessons Learned in Agribusiness Teaching
Food and Agribusiness Production Models
The WERA-72 meetings have a long tradition of “idea-sharing,” the discussion of works-in-progress, mentoring
and the professional development of agribusiness faculty, and the inclusion and full participation of graduate
students in program activities. Please consider submitting a proposal and plan on joining us in June!
The WERA-72 Meeting
Meeting sessions, including presented papers and the annual business meeting, will be held at the Colorado State
University campus. The meeting will include our customary evening dinners and receptions and great
opportunities for interactions with agribusiness colleagues. Options for local field tours and/or recreational
activities are being developed for Saturday and Sunday. Lodging arrangements will be available at the Hilton
hotel adjacent to campus at the nightly rate of $139/double for the nights inclusive of June 4-7 with checkout on
Wednesday, June 8. Details for reserving your rooms will be distributed as arrangements are finalized.
Colorado State University is centrally located in Fort Collins within easy walking distance of many amenities
and offers public transportation to a vibrant redeveloped Old Town. Transportation from Denver International
Airport (DIA) to the hotel is available via various shuttle services. The cost of a round-trip is currently $60-75.
