OBJECTIVE 1: To develop and evaluate new approaches for quantifying the effects of spatial and temporal heterogeneity on water and solute movement in field soils.

OBJECTIVE 2: To develop and evaluate new instrumentation and methods of data analysis for improved characterization of water and solute transport.

OBJECTIVE 3: To apply existing models and new measurement techniques to improve the management of soil water resources.

MS Excel Add-In for Geostatistics
A Microsoft Excel Add-In for calculating semivariance, covariance, autocorrelation, and drift of spatial data is available. Simply download the Add-In and place it in the MS Excel directory where your other Add-Ins are stored. Under Tool/Add-Ins menu in Excel check the box next to Geostatistics.Xla. The new 'Geostatistics' function should appear under the Tools menu. The add-in only works with MS Excel 97. This is a beta version, so any bugs should be reported to Ray Knighton.
